Allergy CARE

Allergy symptoms

Symptoms include nasal congestion, nasal drainage, post- nasal drainage, itchy eyes, ear problems, sore throats, cough, sinusitis, asthma, gastro-intestinal disturbances, fatigue after eating, headaches, and more.
Treatment

  • Antihistamines

  • Decongestants

  • Nasal sprays

The nose and associated paranasal sinuses have numerous functions, some of which are humidification, filtration, and warming of the outside air. Normally, people are supposed to breathe through their nose, not their mouth. As the environment interacts with you and your nose, numerous problems can result.

After the physician has listened to you, and then examined you, it may be necessary to perform an x-ray or nasal endoscopy to determine if allergies are a possibility for your nasal complaint.

After examinations we provide

  • Suggestions for environmental management of sensitivity to dust mites, mold, chemicals, and pets, cross-reactivity of pollens and foods.

  • Patient education for management of foods.

  • Immunotherapy (allergy shots) if indicated for pollens, dust, mites, and molds.

We encourage patients to contact us any time. If we are unable to take a call, we will return it A.S.A.P. We believe in appropriate and responsible treatment and follow-up of each patient on an individual basis.
